Man Shot Multiple Times in Ocean Casino Parking Garage, Suspect Arrested Minutes Later
A 41-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting at the Ocean Casino Resort parking garage in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on Saturday night.
The incident occurred around 9 PM, when officers from the Atlantic City Police Department responded to reports of gunfire. The victim, a local resident, was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the lower body. He was treated on-site by police before being rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Thanks to swift coordination between police and Ocean Casino security, a 55-year-old suspect was apprehended minutes later, reportedly while trying to flee the area. A firearm, allegedly stolen from South Carolina, was found in his possession. It remains under investigation whether this weapon was used in the shooting.
According to BreakingAC.com, the suspect has a criminal history, including weapons and aggravated assault charges from a 2014 incident, where he was accused of threatening a woman with a gun. He was previously found in possession of a firearm, cash, and drugs.
